F.A.Q.

The following is a compilation of popular questions we at All American Bail Bonds have received in our over 10 years of Bail Bonding experience.

Please review the information, if you have any additional questions please call our El Segundo City Bail Bonds office @ 310-207-2245. Our Bail Agents live local and on call 24 hours a day 365 days a year.

Q. If the person has been arrested for suspicion of D.U.I. without injury or accident, and are being held at the El Segundo Police Department Jail, will they be released on their Own Recognizance (O.R.), or do I need to put up a bond?

A. Inmates arrested on D.U.I. and being held in the El Segundo Police Department Jail will not require a bail bond being posted. El Segundo Beach Police do release inmates with alleged D.U.I. misdemeanor offenses with a signed promise to appear. And the inmates can expect their arraignment date to be in approximately 30 days in the LAX Superior Court.

Q. How much do I have to pay for the Bail Bond in El Segundo City? and why do some companies quote such small amounts?

A. California State Law regulates the Bail Bonding Industry. The Bail Bonding Premium is regulated @ no more than 15% for some Dollar amounts and if you qualify you may be able to get the bond @ 8%.

Please Note:
The highest percentage rate in California is 15%, for smaller dollar amounts, but for the most part bail bonding agencies no longer use the 15% rate and have stuck to the norm of 10% for all amounts.

Most Agencies will offer you a rebate if you qualify, the rebate is 20% off of the total bail amount. The normal qualifications for the rebate would be the following:
  1. Union Member
  2. Retained an Attorney
  3. Active Military
  4. A.A.R.P.
As far as the second part of the question, be aware! Many unscrupulous bail bonding companies will make claims of smaller premiums, they will try to entice you to get their "foot in the door." These shady bail companies will promise 2% or 3% bail bonds and once they have you in front of them, it turns into "how would you like to pay the remaining portion of your balance"?

All insurance premiums are regulated!, If a company promises less than 8% in total than you may want to make some more calls.

Stick to the Pros, there are many choices in bail bonding services, Companies Like All American Bail Bonds have been conducting bail for over 10 years and with an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau you know you cant go wrong with us!

Q. What if I don't live local, Do I have to come to El Segundo Police?

A. No. We here at All American Bail Bonds offer a free mobile bail service, and for those individuals who are interested we offer a "Bail by Fax or Email Service.

Bail by Fax or Email Service

We can fax or email you all of the Bail Bonding documents which can be filled out directly on your computer!

Documents normally take no longer than 15 minutes to complete.

Q. Is my personal information safe?

A. Yes, All of your personal information is safely guarded in our secure file room located at our Corporate Office in Santa Clarita and any information received via email is placed on our secure company servers and encrypted for additional protection.

Q. My loved one is here in this country illegally, will there be an immigration hold placed on him/her while at the Whittier Police Station Jail?

A. This question is not one that can be answered so easily, unfortunately there are many variables beyond just that of immigration status. Please call us directly @ 310-207-2245 and we can contact the Whittier Police Station jail for more information.

Please Note: If the inmate has ever been deported before, than you can expect I.C.E. to place an immigration hold on the inmate.

Also: we have seen a greater number of immigration holds being placed on inmates, but that normally is at the level of County Jail.

You can expect that if your loved is transferred to L.A. County Jail, a hold will be placed!

Q. What if I don't Bail out my loved one?

A. If you elect to hold off on bailing out the inmate than you can expect them to be in court within 24 to 48 hours depending on the severity of the charge.

Q. My loved one has an out of county warrant, can I still bail him / her out?

A. Yes, you can still bail them out if there are no holds.

Please Note: If the inmate has an out of city or out of county warrant they will be transferred to the L.A. County Jail once they are processed. If you elect to bail them you can do it but you must work fast, if you delay the inmate will be transferred.

You can still bail out inmates that have been transferred but the process will normally take an additional 12 to 24 hours.
